Have you heard of the latest Juvéderm injectable on the market called Skinvive? Skinvive is Juvéderm’s first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable in the US to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks. Couture Med Spa is now offering this long-lasting hydrating injectable. Let’s talk a little bit about the who, what, where, when why?

What is Skinvive?

Skinvive is the first and only hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable indicated to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks and hydrate from within. It has shown to improve the overall skin quality and texture and patients in the clinical trial all reported a glow to the skin that lasts up to 6 months.

How does Skinvive work?

Skinvive is made by a modified hyaluronic acid molecule that is injected superficially into the skin to allow your skin to retain natural moisture and softness. These injections will leave your skin feeling replenished with its natural moisture leaving the skin looking more radiant and healthier.

Is Skinvive a filler?

Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid gel injectable, which technically makes it a filler. It is modified in a way to be placed superficial in skin allowing your skin to hydrate deeply within the dermis. Unlike other fillers, this will not add volume or change the shape of your face but will just allow your skin to hold onto moisture better.

How much downtime does Skinvive have?

Skinvive is an injectable treatment, so the downtime is limited to risks associated with any injectable treatment such as bruising and swelling that can last up to 2 weeks. Your provider my also recommend no strenuous exercise for several days post treatment.

What is the aftercare for Skinvive?

Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24-48 hours following treatment. Avoid any blood thinning products such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or other blood thinners (if prescribing physician allows). This may increase bruising risk. Consult with your injector if you will be having any other aesthetic treatments on the treated area (laser, peels. Microneedling, etc.) We also advise massaging any lumps or bumps that occur after treatment.

How long does Skinvive treatment take?

On average, the treatment will take about 15 minutes. This does not include consultation time.

How often will I need to get Skinvive?

In all clinical trials Skinvive patients reported results that lasted up to 6 months.

Is Skinvive safe for all skin types?

Yes, Skinvive was studied on all skin types during its clinical trials.

Are results consistent through the 6 months, or do they wear off?

People in the Skivive clinical study experienced skin smoothness lasting consistently through 6 months and reported high satisfaction with how glowing, hydrated, refreshed, and healthy their skin looked through 6 months.

Who is a candidate for Skinvive?

Although, Skinvive is safe on all types of skin. We advise against treatment for individuals with any active lesions or sores on the skin. This includes pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infections. Treatment should be postponed until these skin conditions resolve. Skinvive has not been tested pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, therefore not recommended.

What are the possible side effects of treatment?

The most common side effects include those associated with injections redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness. Although rare, other less common side effects include lumps, firmness, discoloration, and itching. Most of these side effects will resolve within 2 weeks, but if you have any concern let your injector know for further evaluation.

It’s the new year and what better way to kick off 2024 than with Couture Med Spa’s Body Contouring treatments. Let’s face it, we all want to be the best versions of ourselves this year and with the FDA approval treatments like Vanquish and Emsculpt that can happen sooner than you think! Both Vanquish and Emsculpt treatments have little downtime and are quick and easy to do with crazy work or family schedules. So, what exactly are these treatments… don’t worry besties we will give you the low down.

Vanquish is a body contouring treatment that uses technology known as radiofrequency to optimize selective fat heating. Vanquish heats up to a range between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius, which is the desired temperature for the fat cells to go into apoptosis or cell death. Fat cells will then naturally collapse, and their contents are digested by macrophages and cleared lymphatically. Here at Couture Med Spa Vanquish can be done weekly on areas such as the abdomen, flanks, back, and thighs. For best results it is imperative that clients drink half their body weight in ounces before and after treatments for optimal lymphatic drainage of those fat cells. Vanquish is made to enhance diet and exercise programs that clients are already utilizing to get those chiseled contoured results faster so you can be summer ready.

Emsculpt is another body contouring FDA approved treatment to enhance, strengthen and tone the abdomen, buttock, thigh, calf, and arm muscles. Emsculpt induces powerful muscle contractions that are not achievable voluntarily or with exercise alone. Muscles need to adapt to the conditions created by Emsculpt which then results in growth and development of more muscle fibers. The powerful contractions then demand more energy from the body which also results in an intramuscular fat decrease. A quick 30-minute Emsculpt treatment is equivalent to 20,000 crunches at the gym which is going to take your healthy diet and exercise to the next level!

Couture Med Spa offers unbeatable prices with memberships for both Vanquish and Emsculpt treatments so you too can be on your way to the new 2024 you!
